Barbara’s training spanned 5 and a half months in India at the Isha School of Hatha Yoga. The school is part of the Isha Institute of Inner Sciences with locations in Southern India and in McMinnville, Tennessee in the United States. Her training includes over 1750 hours training in teaching classical Hatha yoga, as well as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and an introduction to aspects of traditional Indian Medicine including Ayruveda and Siddha.
She is certified to teach: Upa Yoga, Surya Kriya, Yogasanas, Angamardana, Bhuta Shuddhi, Surya Shakti, Children’s Yoga, Yoga for Pregnancy, Bhakti Yoga, Isha Kriya as well as aspects of yoga as complementary therapies for various health conditions and chronic ailments.

Barbara has over 1000 hours of instruction time with both adults and children. She offers classical yoga in it’s purest form to all who wish to learn, creating the right atmosphere for yoga students to attain overall health and wellbeing, find joy and bliss in their lives, find relief from chronic ailments or take this yoga to whatever level they desire.

She strives to inspire students to continued practice to attain their goals, and offer classes, practice sessions and one-on-one coaching to meet the needs of each student.
